About the Anything is Possible website
This website provides information on two community campaigns run by the Tasmanian Government.
Need to know
- The Every School Day Matters and Be the One campaigns take a whole of community approach, targeting students, parents and carers, schools and the broader Tasmanian community.
- We are committed to enabling bright lives and positive futures for children and young people in Tasmania.
- Everyone has a role in supporting children and young people.
Every School Day Matters campaign
This campaign focuses on the benefits of regular school attendance and the moments, big and small, that can happen in a school day. Going to school every day gives children and young people the best chance of a bright future, providing the opportunity to learn, grow and connect with their friends and teachers.
School attendance rates have been declining nationally and internationally for a number of years and a whole of community approach is needed to encourage and support students and families to prioritise consistent school attendance.
The ‘Every School Day Matters’ campaign takes a positive approach to an important issue, highlighting all the fantastic things that can happen in a school day and what students could be missing if they aren’t at school.
Former Richmond Football Club champion and proud Tasmanian, Jack Riewoldt, is supporting the campaign as an ambassador and more ambassadors will be added as the campaign continues.
The campaign includes a range of tools and resources available via this website to support and assist schools, parents/carers and students in getting to school.
Be The One campaign
This campaign is about showing that children and young people can have positive futures, with the right support, and encouraging community members to be that support for them.
This can look like being a trusted adult for young people in their lives, or stepping into a role, whether in a volunteer capacity or as a career, that enables them to make a difference for children and young people.
This website features stories where people are already ‘being the one’ in a variety of contexts to inspire others to do the same. It also provides guidance and ideas to encourage community members to step up and be the one.
